The Richland One School Board unanimously approved a request on Feb. 11 to reallocate $12,600 from the fiscal year 2023–24 general fund balance to provide student meals for spring break.
Hazel Matthews presented the request, saying the administration recommends approval of the reallocation to cover student meals during the upcoming break. The board moved, seconded and approved the request 7-0.
The transfer authorizes the finance office to allocate the specified amount to student nutrition to ensure meal service during the spring break period; no amendments to the amount were proposed during the public meeting.
