The superintendent said scheduling work will begin when students return from break and a draft 2026'27 school calendar may be brought to the January meeting for a public comment period before adoption.
Separately, the superintendent said the district expects an intervention and special education audit by month'end and that the state has updated its special education model policy; the board must review and approve a policy by March 30 for use in 2024'25. "We should be reading through this by when January 7; I'll bring it and we'll probably have it on the January agenda," staff said.
