New Baltimore DDA approves financial report, cancels March meeting and forms Country Fest subcommittee

The City of New Baltimore Downtown Development Authority approved routine minutes and financial reports at its Feb. 11 meeting, canceled the March 11 meeting because city hall is booked for the Board of Review, and appointed members to a Country Fest subcommittee.

Chairman Higgins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and a quorum was recorded. Byrum moved to approve the prior month's minutes and Miller supported; the motion carried. Vice Chair Krause moved to adopt the agenda and Byrum supported; the motion carried.

Treasurer Hayman reviewed the Treasurer and budget reports for Jan. 1–31, 2026. The minutes record a checking-account starting balance of $240,148.30, a money-market starting balance of $100,614.51, $8,653.70 in real-property deposits, and a $2,500 façade-grant expense; ending balances were reported as $246,354.21 (checking) and $100,631.60 (money market). Byrum moved and Miller supported approval of the Treasurer's report; the motion carried.

Miller moved, supported by Secretary Ralph DeBucce, to cancel the March 11 meeting because city hall is unavailable; members agreed that an emergency meeting could be called if necessary. Chairman Higgins then moved to nominate Vice Chair Krause, Secretary DeBucce and McClellan as the DDA board members for the Country Fest subcommittee, with Higgins to represent the DDA as a nonactive (silent) member; the motion, supported by Miller, carried.

Miller moved to adjourn at 8:30 p.m.; Byrum supported the motion, which carried. Minutes were submitted by Ralph DeBucce, Secretary.
