Members said each candidate brought different strengths — from engineering and transportation knowledge to lifelong residency and IT skill sets — and that no single applicant clearly outshone the others.
“We’re going to start with the oldest one going forward to see if they’re still interested and then whoever is interested we would make an offer to come and join us,” a committee member said, and the motion to proceed in application-date order carried with general assent. The committee asked staff to notify applicants and to inform Councilman Karazzi of their top-choice process; if the first candidate declines the committee will move to the next applicant on the list.
