Barrington said the library and career center has seen about $84,000 in change orders (a 3.6% contract increase) and that contractors are addressing DSA-required structural repairs to accommodate a February 2026 deadline. She outlined other projects: Fillmore Middle School HVAC and shade structures funded by the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP), kitchen equipment replacement at San Quintano and Sespey (out to bid; Child Nutrition Fund), and Fillmore High School kitchen/cafeteria modernization (Measure G and Child Nutrition Funds). She noted the Fillmore High stadium restrooms project requires a new connection to city sewer and will be funded from the building fund.
Trustees did not request additional information during the meeting; Barrington said some timelines depend on outside approvals (DSA and city coordination) and that the Sespey kitchen bid opening is scheduled for March 3.
