Staff reports Kermit continued, Superior Pride withdrawn; Enterprise rear parking may require site plan

At the meeting, Staff member (S2) said “Kermit is gonna be continued” and reported “Sharks is withdrawn.” He also said, “Superior Pride is gonna be withdrawn,” referring to a townhouse proposal in Ocean View as the applicant seeks a different design that might not require an advance or CEP approval.
Why it matters: these procedural moves change which projects will return for formal hearings and which have been removed from the immediate docket. Staff said the Superior Pride applicant is discussing design changes that could avoid special approvals, which would reduce the need for future hearings.
Staff described site-improvement work for another applicant, saying the agent produced “a very nice landscaping plan” to restore planting islands and that the applicant will repave holes in the parking lot. On Enterprise, staff said the applicant plans landscaping and will pull back a fence, but environmental staff found the rear area is not actually paved. “It is not,” Staff member (S2) said, noting that because the rear is not paved the applicant will probably have to go through site-plan review if they want to use that rear portion for parking.
The committee asked whether extended hours or other operational changes were part of current approvals. Staff said the dumpster-screening and game-position conditions must be met; the city attorney has reiterated that certain skill-game machines are not permitted, and staff will monitor gaming positions to ensure compliance.
Staff also reported no new updates on Selden or Staybridge, and said the Lots application will be continued at the applicant’s request. One applicant asked that an entertainment-related approval last four years rather than two because construction is likely to take longer; staff said the applicant agreed to continue to seek the longer term.
No formal decisions were taken on these items; staff indicated the continued and withdrawn items will either return with revised proposals or be removed from the docket as appropriate.
