The presenter said the robots are controlled by soldiers from a reconnaissance squadron and are providing “unmanned reconnaissance assets out in the field” that can reach farther and into more difficult positions than earlier capabilities. “We can get reconnaissance assets further and into more difficult positions,” the presenter said.
The exercise included short operator exchanges on the range — one participant called, “Ready for autonomy,” and another replied, “Copy that; also still locked,” indicating live coordination between operators and the systems.
