The Plymouth Select Board voted to fill three public seats on its newly formed Economic Development Committee and handled a series of routine approvals at its meeting.
Chair moved and the board approved the staggered public-member appointments to the Economic Development Committee: Walter Frankel (term to April 1, 2026), William Bolton (term to April 1, 2027) and Michael Vanek (term to April 1, 2028). The appointments followed a public recruitment and Planning Board nominations for two committee spots and were confirmed by voice vote.
The board also reappointed Ina Ahern to a three-year alternate seat on the Conservation Commission after the commission submitted a unanimous recommendation letter supporting her continued service.
On fiscal housekeeping, the board voted to accept a $7,000 payment from Progressive Insurance to cover quoted guardrail repairs on Reservoir Road following a crash; the proceeds were directed to the repair work. The board noted the check matched the quoted repair cost and that the police handled the insurance filing.
The Select Board approved the annual renewal of Loop Mobility Technologies' taxi permit after the permit package — including vehicle lists, required documentation and a $150 fee — was signed off by the police chief. No concerns were reported by staff during the renewal review.
Several routine motions on meeting minutes (approving the Aug. 11 regular and nonpublic minutes and the Aug. 21 special meeting) were approved by voice vote. The meeting concluded with a motion to enter nonpublic session citing a RSA provision for personnel matters; the motion passed by voice vote.
The board announced its next meetings for 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, Tuesday, Oct. 14 and Monday, Oct. 27, and reminded residents that Town Offices will be closed Oct. 13 for Columbus Day.
