The Colonial Heights School Board authorized a resolution and two easements allowing Dominion to install a main power cable and a primary cable/transformer near Colonial Heights High School.
A presenter described two easements: one large easement under the parking lot and an additional smaller easement at the south end of the high school. The presenter said Dominion requested the easements and equipment to "prevent a power outage to the high school" and stated that, without them, "there could be a power failure very soon at the high school." The board moved, seconded and approved the resolution and authorized the chair to sign the documents.
The resolution authorizes staff to finalize the RightWay agreement and easement documents; the presenter and district staff did not provide a construction schedule at the meeting. The board approved the action by recorded vote.
