A second resolution honored Matthew Oliver, a firefighter with the Chesterfield Fire Department, for his role in rescuing occupants from a January 2, 2026, structure fire. The council approved that resolution on a motion by Dr. Brand with a second by Mr. McClendon; members applauded and posed for photographs.
Both resolutions were ceremonial and were adopted without opposition.
