CIC reopens mowing RFP, answers residents’ questions about shopping‑center redevelopment

Meredith Hughes said the RFP for mowing is being reissued because a potential agreement with the Hamilton County Land Bank did not materialize; bids are due Monday, March 24 by 5 p.m., and the expected contract start date for mowing is April 15. The RFP packet includes language allowing the CIC to transfer maintenance responsibilities temporarily to the land bank if a formal agreement is later reached.
During public comment, resident Benjamin Fry asked when more detailed development information (unit totals, rent levels, pro forma) would be posted. Hughes said recent public presentations had been made and that lease rates were not yet finalized; she committed to posting design materials and updates on the CIC or Village website once the operating agreement with the developer is formalized.
Other residents asked about density, parking and the U.S. Post Office site. A commenter referenced previously discussed plans calling for approximately 191 residential units and 12 townhouses and about 280 parking spaces; the board said those figures came from earlier drafts and that final site plans and lease rates have not been set. The board also said the Village holds a perpetual lease with the Post Office and could relocate that facility within about a quarter mile in a later phase if necessary.
