"I love being able to use my Promethean board for a lot of different things and being able to really reach out to them in a multi-sensory way for my lessons," she said.
She warned that as hardware ages it can slow and stop supporting apps teachers rely on. "So, we have lag that happens. We can have certain apps that are phased out that we can no longer use. So, it's really creating a lack of efficiency," Duffy said. She added that the resulting disruptions force teachers to "backtrack and recreate things," costing class time and reducing planning time: "I'm losing time in my classroom. I'm losing time in being able to plan new things for the students."
Duffy framed up‑to‑date equipment as a matter of instructional quality, saying, "Reliable and up-to-date technology really is what makes us a leader in education." She closed by thanking Cy‑Fair ISD for anticipating teacher and student needs and working with staff to find solutions.
