St. Bernard's 'Light Up' holiday event raises 7,741 canned goods for St. Clement pantry

The mayor also announced the contest winners for decorated homes: first place — 27 Orchard; second place — 403 Jefferson; third place — 417 Washington. He thanked all involved volunteers, the DJ, Santa and Mrs. Claus and emphasized the event’s community spirit.
Marketing Chair Mr. Culbertson supplemented the report by thanking coaches, volunteers and sponsors that support recreation programming and announced that the St. Bernard L Grove Historical Society program on Dec. 16 at the municipal building will focus on holiday trains.
The announcement gives residents a near-term community resource: the food drive totals identify a local nonprofit beneficiary (St. Clement food pantry) and the Historical Society program provides an upcoming event for residents interested in local history.
