Board approves contract with Next Generation Buildings for failing truck storage building

"The next generation was the cheapest for wood frame," Taylor said, adding that most subcontractors were local.
Taylor said the project has been budgeted for the last three years and that the department’s carryover balance is "like $7 million," funds that will cover the work and related site utilities. Board members asked whether the bid included electrical, septic and heating; Taylor confirmed those items were part of the package.
A board member moved to authorize the engineer to sign the contract with Next Generation Buildings. The motion was seconded, no additional discussion was recorded and the motion carried.
