Board reviews clean FY25 audit and adopts 2026–27 science curriculum

Jacksonville — The Jacksonville North Pulaski School District presented its FY24–25 legislative audit and a recommendation to adopt science curriculum resources for 2026–27 at the board meeting.
Finance director Kyle Hunt briefed the board on the audit, saying auditors identified no weaknesses and issued no findings in the district’s FY24–25 legislative audit. "This is as clean an audit as a school district can have," Hunt told the board, and he credited central office and finance staff for maintaining systems that addressed prior issues.
Separately, the superintendent recommended adoption of the 2026–2027 science curriculum and associated instructional resources. The district estimated the cost at about $72,000–$73,000 to come from textbook adoptions operational funds. The board moved, seconded and approved the curriculum adoption unanimously.
Board members congratulated finance and curriculum staff for the audit result and for preparing the curriculum packet. The board expects routine reporting on curriculum implementation and budget expenditures related to the adoption.
