Matt Feldman, Latchki’s site leader, described program operations, enrollment (about 100–103 students), designated classroom spaces, enrichment partners and family communications using the Brightwheel app for attendance, messaging and photos. He said the program emphasizes consistency and staff stability, and shared examples of enrichment (STEM, PB basketball, math festival) and classroom practices to support students’ social‑emotional needs.
Trustees praised the program’s organization and parent communication features. During the contract discussion trustees asked about program access and coach sourcing for enrichment providers; district staff said operational details would be confirmed after contract execution.
The contract was approved by roll call vote; Expanded Learning staff will finalize program schedules, staffing and reporting requirements with the vendor.
