The Beautification and Public Art Commission unanimously confirmed Commissioner Michael Rulan as chair for the remainder of the current term and elected Commissioner Travelby as vice chair during its March 9, 2026 meeting in Flagstaff City.
Staff explained that Commissioner McCord stepped down from acting chair duties because travel and scheduling conflicts would limit her in‑person availability for the remainder of the term, which runs through the August meeting. With no other nominees put forward, Rulan was nominated and the commission voted to appoint him as chair.
Commissioner Audra self‑nominated for vice chair; the commission moved to approve the self‑nomination and subsequently voted to confirm Commissioner Travelby as vice chair. Both actions passed unanimously.
The commission also approved the February minutes at the start of the meeting. Staff recorded the procedural votes and confirmed the appointments for the public record.
The commission’s next regular meeting is scheduled for April 13, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
