Speakers from the Jersey City Parks Coalition urged use of trust‑fund dollars to finish deferred park projects and pointed to specific needs in Leonard Gordon Park, Hamilton Park, Riverview and others. The business administrator told the council the city has roughly $15 million in park capital accounts overall and that, if county awards are received, approximately $2–3 million in existing capital funds could be redirected to meet local match requirements.
Council members congratulated local park advocates and noted oversight steps for contractor performance on existing contracts. The resolutions passed by roll call.
