Adam, executive director of the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging, said the change would codify a multi‑sector umbrella for transportation, housing, health and other agencies working on aging issues.
Committee members asked for clarity on budget provisions and expiration language; staff clarified that existing executive‑order structures and funding timelines would be reconciled as the bill moves through the process. The committee approved the bill as amended by voice vote.
