The board also discussed a TET grant (Oklahoma) with a March application window that can fund larger projects — playgrounds, new fields, sidewalks, or site engineering — and noted that Perkins has limited available land, constraining where larger projects could be placed. Members agreed to gather quotes and basic project plans if they choose to apply in the current round.
On governance, the board formally acknowledged Courtney Hart’s emailed resignation. Members debated whether to fast‑track an interested resident, Justin Cloud, or to post the vacancy publicly to solicit more applicants. The board voted to post the opening on the city website, accept letters of interest through the end of March and then forward recommendations to the city commission for appointment; staff will coordinate the posting with city hall.
Separately, members discussed field maintenance problems caused by a recent fencing contractor’s incomplete cleanup and scheduled a spring cleanup (March 14–15) to remove debris and address fence remnants. Staff will coordinate volunteer groups and paint/repair bleachers as part of the cleanup.
