After the chair asked for public comment and none was offered, Board member Laura Brat moved to accept the closed-session agenda. Board member Jesse Vanzy seconded the motion. A roll call vote recorded Brat, Herd, Vanzy, Ordway and Clark voting in favor; the motion passed 5-0.
The board then adjourned into closed session. Under Government Code Section 54957, performance evaluations of public employees may be discussed in closed session; the board did not disclose any details of the evaluations or any actions taken during the closed session at the time the public record ends.
No additional items were taken in open session and the board announced it would not return to public session that evening.
