Planning commission hears Theravesta Road drainage, erosion-control update; service road may begin in 30–45 days

Brett Feeney, representing Jones Company, updated the Williamson County Regional Planning Commission on Theravesta Road’s drainage and erosion-control work, saying the geotechnical slope repairs for section two were approved and a geotech letter has been submitted to T Squared.
Feeney told commissioners that crews have checked the bio-pond twice weekly since the last meeting and that it remains ‘‘too wet’’ with about an inch of standing water at the bottom despite hand excavation to help drainage. He said staff and the engineer will meet on site to consider alternate fixes for groundwater flowing into the detention pond.
On the wastewater/service road, Feeney said the project team has received a bid and a road-core sample report has been turned over to the engineer and county staff. Depending on county direction the applicant may pave the service road rather than leave it gravel; Feeney said that decision will shape the next phase.
Feeney estimated that, if the county and engineer approve the proposed approach, the service road could be constructed within about 30 to 45 days. He also said a landscaper will plant trees (five near the berm and three near the road was the estimate discussed) within the next week or two.
No formal action was required or taken on the update; Feeney answered questions from commissioners and staff about sequencing, bids and timeline. The commission moved on to the next agenda item after the update.
