Chintawam said he is an ASE master technician with about 16 years' experience, described the operation as a hobby shop rather than a large commercial enterprise, and said he typically would have no more than three vehicles on-site. "I just need something that makes me a little more legit for the time being," Chintawam said, adding that a license would help him receive parts deliveries and perform warranty work.
Council members asked about the property's location relative to the subdivision and neighbors, raised concerns about junk cars and vehicles parked on the road, and asked the applicant to provide contact information. The chair said the council would speak with neighbors and review the site and asked for one month to follow up at the next meeting. The applicant provided a phone number on the record.
No license decision was made on May 7; the council deferred action pending neighbor outreach and a site check.
