Staff reported the concrete work on the Sleepy Hollow Road sale is complete and that weather may delay grass growth. Staff said remaining punch-list items will be addressed and that payment to the contractor or seller may be possible at the next board meeting if final checks are satisfactory.
In public safety updates the chief said a newly built squad car is undergoing technology setup and should be deployed to patrol within about a week; the chief also reported one officer completed field training and is now on solo patrol while a second officer is nearing the completion of training.
Trustees also heard a seasonal safety reminder: residents walking after dark should wear reflective clothing and walk facing traffic and drivers should be cautious.
The board approved a $323,500 pay estimate for the street program earlier in the meeting to allow payment while retaining retention until final completion.
