The Historic Preservation Agency in Lake City recorded an administratively approved certificate of appropriateness, COA26-04, for 199 Southeast Camp Street authorizing replacement of an existing shingle roof with Galvalume metal roofing consistent with neighboring properties.
Angelo, speaking for staff, said the administratively approved item was limited to the roof material: "They are looking or they will replace the existing shingle roof with a new Galvalume metal roof consistent with the neighboring properties," he said. The administrative approval was entered into the record and no additional public comment or deliberation was required.
During discussion a member noted that the roof had been changed very quickly in one day and asked whether staff should place signage for administratively determined decisions to reduce phone inquiries from concerned citizens. Angelo said such calls are infrequent but that receiving citizen calls indicates public interest.
The Historic Preservation Agency took no additional action and adjourned after approving the minutes and recording the administratively approved COA.
