Craig, identified as the committee’s incoming chair, said the EPC needs to prepare a prioritized list of goals to present to town council for 2026. He recommended circulating last year’s goals and any additions from the council’s safety and resilience subcommittee, then deciding at a regular meeting whether to reactivate a small subcommittee to finish the work.
"We could probably do that in part of a meeting instead of having to go through the whole issue of another subcommittee," Craig said, recommending committee review of the previous work product before adding items.
Members agreed that the list should be reviewed prior to the January meeting and that if the committee could not finalize goals in one session, a small subcommittee would be formed to complete the work. The committee setter noted that several council-led safety and resilience items could expand the list, and Craig offered to circulate last year’s goals and the updated list to EPC members and the council liaison.
Next steps: the EPC will circulate the prior goals and the council subcommittee’s suggestions, discuss them at its January meeting and either approve a final priorities list or create a short subcommittee to finish the product for submission to town council.
