The Centerville City Council unanimously approved a second amendment to the Tumbleweed Condominiums subdivision plat at its April 7 meeting. Staff said the amendment adjusts internal parcel boundary lines for buildings 3 and 4 in an industrial zoning district and does not change external parcel boundaries. The motion carried after a public hearing with no public comment.
Staff noted there is an existing cross-access agreement between South Davis Metro Fire and GE Estates LLC that covers health and safety access to the back of Legacy Lane. Because a separate cross-access agreement between GE Estates LLC and the Tumbleweed condominium owners had not been established in city records, staff recommended approving the plat amendment with a temporary three-year cross-access agreement between the two private entities to preserve access while the parties negotiate a long-term easement.
Ken Hawks of Great Basin Engineering was identified as the applicant representative; staff recommended conditions 1 through 5 (with subitems A–C) detailed in the staff report. Council moved and seconded the measure and voted unanimously to approve the amended plat with those conditions.
Next steps: staff will record the plat amendment subject to the stated conditions and monitor the temporary cross-access arrangement; the two property owners are expected to renegotiate access terms before the three-year temporary period ends.
