Staff reported renewal of consulting services used by Public Works (a periodic RFQ renewal), and an amendment to the county’s landfill infrastructure map — the map had last been updated in 2014 and now reflects new landfill cell development. The board also approved a land-use license with Weyerhaeuser allowing a temporary horse corral on county property adjacent to the landfill; Weyerhaeuser will retain liability for the corral.
A contract-completion letter for Rouchy Inc. was accepted for the Tower Road water main and Waneda Way booster pump station project. Staff described the project as roughly $1.4 million and reported it came in approximately $177,000 under budget.
Human Resources presented a memorandum of understanding transferring facilities maintenance and purchasing employees from Local 1262 to Local 334; officials said the move would not change employee benefits.
The board moved to approve the consent agenda and voted in favor by voice vote. Vouchers reported for the week totaled $3,173.81.
