Planning staff announces reappointment agenda and comprehensive plan update RFP

At the April 9 meeting the planning staff reported two administrative items for upcoming county action: reappointments to the Board of County Commissioners will be on the April 28 agenda, and the county has approved an RFP to update the comprehensive plan.
Planning staff member Albert Casillas told the commission that all four incumbents had reapplied and that nine additional applicants were on the committee appointment agenda for the Board of County Commissioners’ April 28 meeting. He asked commissioners to attend if possible when the item is considered.
Casillas also said the county approved an initial RFP to update the comprehensive plan; the process is in early stages and staff are soliciting consultant bids. He said the planning commission will be involved as the project advances and more detailed scope and schedule information becomes available.
No formal votes were recorded on these staff updates during the meeting.
