Board approves a package of policies, defers wellness policy, and ratifies certified-staff list after nonpublic session
Summary
Trustees approved multiple policy revisions, deferred fuller review of an expanded student physical/emotional-wellbeing policy (JLCK) for another meeting, and—after going into nonpublic session under RSA 91‑A II for personnel—moved to accept the certified-staff list for the upcoming year by roll-call votes.

The policy committee presented a packet of policy revisions covering student conduct, transportation, social-media guidance, remote attendance and related items. Trustees discussed wording for a revised wellness policy (JLCK/JLC) that expands the prior brief language to reflect New Hampshire Department of Education minimum standards (ED 306); the board agreed to take more time on JLCK and to bring it back at the next meeting for a fuller review.
The board voted to approve the remainder of the policy packet but explicitly did not approve policy KF (use of school facilities) as revised; members asked staff to leave KF as currently written rather than adopt the committee’s proposed change.
Later the board voted to enter nonpublic session under RSA 91‑A:3 II (personnel). After that nonpublic session, the board returned to public session and moved to accept the certified-staff list for the upcoming year as proposed by administration. A roll-call vote recorded 'yes' votes from Katie Capola, Dan Abear and Megan Fitzgerald; the motion carried.
