City-County Common elects leadership, approves prior meeting minutes

Rick Vest moved and Christa Yoakum seconded approval of the August 16, 2022 Common Meeting minutes; Weber, Flowerday, Schulte, Washington, Bowers, Vest and Yoakum voted yes and Justin Carlson abstained, carrying the motion 7-0 with one abstention. Vest moved and Matt Schulte seconded approval of the February 14, 2023 minutes; Weber, Flowerday, Schulte, Washington, Bowers and Vest voted yes while Carlson and Yoakum abstained; the motion carried 6-0 with two abstentions.
On election of leadership, Washington asked that the Chair be chosen from the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners and the Vice-Chair from the Lincoln City Council to serve through Dec. 31, 2024. Vest moved and Justin Carlson seconded approving Roma Amundson as Chair through Dec. 31, 2024; the motion carried 8-0. James Michael Bowers nominated Brodey Weber for Vice-Chair; Carlson moved and Vest seconded approval of Weber as Vice-Chair through Dec. 31, 2024; the motion carried 8-0. Washington then handed the meeting over to Weber as Chair.
Sean Flowerday moved and Sändra Washington seconded adjournment; the motion carried 8-0. The next Common Meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at 12:45 p.m.
