Paul Harrington, the town manager, moved to refer the Pearson roof project to the Planning & Zoning Commission under Connecticut General Statutes Sections 8‑24 and 8‑22 for review and comment; the board approved the referral unanimously. The board then approved a bond resolution and the timeline for a special town meeting and referendum. The appropriation will fund design, construction, replacement and related costs; the motion specifies the question on the referendum will be a yes/no vote on the appropriation and bond.
Town staff will post and publish the required notices and make absentee ballots available following the town meeting in accordance with the charter and state law.
No additional discussion or amendments to the amount were made at the meeting. The board recorded unanimous consent on the referral, the town‑meeting date and the referendum schedule.
