Broadview honors Lt. David Jurovich after 27 years of service

The Village of Broadview honored Lieutenant David Jurovich at the March 3 meeting as he prepares to retire from the Broadview Police Department on March 8 after 27 years of service.
Police leadership recounted Jurovich’s career milestones — hired on Jan. 5, 1998; promotions through detective, sergeant and lieutenant; more than 40 honorable mentions and a 2002 Cook County Sheriff’s law-enforcement award — and noted his planned transition to a law‑enforcement role with BNSF railroad.
The department presented Jurovich with a glass memorial engraved to mark his years of service. In his brief remarks Jurovich thanked the department and his family and said serving Broadview had been an honor: “I hope over the past 27 years I’ve served it with honor,” he said.
Trustees and the mayor offered brief congratulations and best wishes for his next career step.
