A committee member opened by telling the Rock Springs City Council he has been "pretty busy the last couple of weeks" with local volunteer work and meetings. He said he has spent substantial time volunteering at the Young at Heart Community Center and working on several programs there.
He said he attended a March 31 library meeting where the Community Fine Arts Committee is "reworking some agreements" and emphasized to the public that the committee is not closing. The member also reported attending a URA downtown businesses "business of the month" meeting and noted seeing the Big Boy steam engine pass through town.
The speaker added that earlier the same morning he had attended a town hall presented by Harriet Hageman. The remarks were delivered as routine member reports; no motions, votes or formal directives followed from these updates.
