Borough to host April workshops on port/harbor concept drafts; assembly aims to select preferred concept April 28

Staff and the borough manager's team reported that concept drafts for the LUTAC/LUTech rebuild project were released to advisory committees and are available on the borough's LUTAC document page. A joint working group meeting of the planning commission, assembly and Ports & Harbors is scheduled for April 8 to review initial concepts.
Henry (staff) briefed the commission on the schedule: concept deliverables from consultants are due April 3 for publication ahead of the April 8 working group; the assembly will consider the concepts at its April 14 regular meeting and Ports & Harbors will conduct a second review April 23. Staff said the assembly's adopted schedule targets April 28 for selection of a preferred concept, but that date could be moved if the assembly requires more time.
Commissioners were advised to expect substantial review workload in April and encouraged to participate in the April 8 joint meeting. Staff indicated the concept documents are at high level ("50,000-foot" drafts) and further detail will be developed after the working-group feedback.
