Local groups announce 4-H clinic, summer camp and Master Gardener plant sale

Katie (4-H) said the project clinic on birds will be held Saturday, May 16, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Garlow and emphasized that this week is a national peak for birding activity. She said 4-H camp is scheduled June 16'19 at Kelly's Island for youth ages 8 to 13 and that registrations are due Monday, May 18; the theme is "jungle safari."
Steve, community relations person for the Seneca County Master Gardener Association, promoted the association's annual plant sale at the Tiffin flea market (Saturday 9 a.m.'4 p.m.; Sunday 9 a.m.'3 p.m.) and noted many plants are grown by volunteers and from the fairgrounds flower beds. He also announced the association awarded two $500 scholarships this year to Seneca East graduates Jessica Bowerman and Logan Snavely.
The board thanked both groups for their programming and volunteer work. No formal board action was required.
