That is 6.5 million in the US alone," and said "on average, it takes about seven years between the onset of symptoms and a confirmed diagnosis." Foreman said the resolution would send a message to those living with the disease and encouraged colleagues to co-sponsor the resolution electronically.
The clerk put the question on adoption; members in favor said "I," and the resolution was adopted according to the floor record. The resolution was presented as an awareness and advocacy measure and is open for co-sponsorship.
