Committee approves $4,509.75 trail signage request, will forward to assembly

Nate (speaker 2), who presented the plan, outlined that the work would replace or add trail markers and brown-on-white state-style signs on trails around town and on state park lands where permitted. He said the request would be drawn from an existing trail funding account established in 2011 and gave the proposal amount: "It's $4,509.75," Nate said. He added that about $21,000 remained in the trail fund from 2011, so the request would not require a budget amendment if existing supplies of markers are sufficient.
Committee members thanked Nate for the initiative, discussed design coordination with the tourism office to maintain a consistent local theme, and voted to forward the funding recommendation to the assembly for approval.
