Middletown committee plans bicentennial time capsule and honors local historian

The chair encouraged members to use a prepared letter (with an option to remove the chair's name so contributors can use their own) and said the planned display will offer ideas for items to include in the new capsule.
Later in the meeting the chair noted the memory of Peter Lascaris, described Lascaris' role in highlighting the importance of local history, and said former alderman Jerry Cline will speak at the upcoming common council meeting in Lascaris' memory.
The committee concluded without recorded public comment or formal votes on the time capsule plan.
