Robert Davis was sworn in as a commissioner of the Sayreville Economic and Redevelopment Agency for a five-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2030, the agency confirmed during its reorganizational meeting.
Following the oath, the board moved quickly through its reorganization. John Zrowski was nominated and elected chair by roll-call vote, and Steve Gerillo was nominated and elected vice chair. Commissioners Dewise, Fisher, Gillow, Periq, Rios, Roberts and Scott registered affirmative votes in the roll calls as recorded by the chair.
The board also discussed a contingency appointment for an assistant secretary to sign documents if the executive director (who serves as secretary) is unavailable; the board nominated "Zach," and the nomination was approved by roll call.
All three organizational actions were moved, seconded and approved without recorded opposition. The chair confirmed a quorum at the start of the meeting and noted the meeting had been properly noticed.
The reorganizational items concluded with instructions that the agency will follow standard procedures for document signing and administrative backups going forward.
