Committee approves maintenance and project lettings, guardrail work and federal matching resolution

5A1D (engineering services agreement — Hudson Carlock Road CH 12): The committee approved an engineering services agreement with Thoele Annett Wiede & Merz Inc. for culvert extension design and related work ahead of a planned roadway raise; Member Reeves moved and Member Fagan seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
5A1E (motor fuel tax and matching funds — Danvers Carlock Road): Stokes said the project will use federal Surface Transportation Rural funds (80%) with county 20% match; Member Loeffler moved and Member Reeves seconded and the committee approved the resolution unanimously.
5C1A (Section 5311 FY2027 documentation): The committee approved resolution, applicant ordinance and labor‑protection acceptance documentation allowing Connect Transit to apply for Section 5311 rural operating assistance for state fiscal year July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027; Member Fagan moved and Member Bestler seconded and the vote was unanimous.
Next steps: Approvals allow staff to proceed with procurement, coordinate with IDOT for required environmental clearances where applicable, and continue project scheduling and implementation work.
