Nick Untermann, general manager at Terranea Resort, told Studio RPV the resort is marking Earth Month with guided hikes, family scavenger hunts, falconry demonstrations and ocean activities and emphasized recent sustainability steps.
"Every day is Earth Day here at Terranea," Untermann said, listing guided hikes, scavenger hunts and family programming this spring. He said the resort two years ago phased out single-use plastic water bottles across property, moving to aluminum and glass alternatives, and partners with local conservation groups for programming.
Untermann highlighted family-friendly and ticketed events including a Derby Day celebration on May 2, a boards-and-bubbles workshop on May 9, and regular falconry demonstrations. He also mentioned opportunities for kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling at a leopard shark habitat discovered two years ago.
The segment framed Terranea's sustainability and guest offerings as complementary to the peninsula's open-space work and invited viewers to visit terranea.com for details and tickets.
