Council members and staff said they will issue a press release and update the municipal website with a list of acceptable and nonacceptable items and guidance for residents. The council framed the program as a permanent addition to local recycling services and asked the public to save and deliver film to the recycling center rather than placing it in curbside recycling streams where it can jam sorting equipment.
