A trustee reminded the board that Pinger had previously been involved in litigation and read public reporting about a past settlement; supporters said Pinger had performed safety-and-security consulting for the high school and recommended continuing the relationship. The board asked staff to follow up with the law firm in writing about the pulled $50,000 line item and indicated the board could meet in closed session with attorneys if additional privileged details required that forum. The pulled PO line item will be brought back for further clarification and potential closed-session discussion.
