Rockingham County commissioners on April 9 approved several administrative and operational actions during a meeting dominated by budget discussions.
Finance staff recommended and the board approved off‑cycle accounts payable warrant T261108, authorizing payment to Harvey Construction in the amount of $465,357.25. The payment was presented as recommended by the senior director of planning IT and the senior director of finance and approved by recorded vote.
The board ratified an amendment to a therapy services agreement with HealthPro Heritage, approving ratification of services provided May 1, 2025–March 31, 2026 and extending the agreement through April 30, 2027 as recommended by long‑term care leadership.
In corrections business, the board approved an administrative transfer of an inmate booking (transfer of inmate booking numbers to and from Hillsborough County Department of Corrections) per the motion read into the record.
Commissioners reviewed proposed position changes and wage adjustments from human resources but voted to table the proposals (items A and B) until the next meeting so the board can complete outstanding department budget meetings and have updated numbers.
