Representatives of a local Olive Branch chapter addressed the Olive Branch Board of Aldermen during the public comment period on March 17 to present medals of appreciation to city officials and staff.
Will Francis, Hunter Bagot and Robert Johnson introduced themselves and announced medals and a "hats off" award for Mayor Ken Adams and Jay Nichols; they also noted that Jennifer Griffith was not present and asked that honors be delivered to her. The speakers said the group worked with the city on events including a cleanup and a "touch a truck" event and thanked officials for outreach and public recognition.
Mayor Ken Adams and council members received the awards; the board then proceeded to the consent agenda and other business.
The comments were brief and were followed by routine agenda items.
