The Austin City Council approved change order No. 11 for the wastewater treatment plant project on April 6 after a staff presentation reviewing recent work change directives and cumulative costs.
Engineering staff detailed current directives with costs to the domestic and industrial budgets and reported total change orders to date of approximately $3,722,203.72, which staff said corresponds to a roughly 3.72% increase to the overall project budget. “When we look at all of our change orders to date over the course of the 3-year project so far, we have… total of about $3,722,203.72 in change orders on the project, and that represents about a 3.72% cost increase to the overall project budget,” staff said.
Council had no further questions and approved the resolution by roll call. Staff noted routine quarterly reviews of change orders and will continue to brief council on project cost and schedule.
