The council also proclaimed October 2025 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and invited representatives from 180 Turning Lives Around; Jocelyn from 180 thanked the council and distributed awareness ribbons.
Council members used the meeting to share a wide range of announcements—library activities, senior center programs, the Halloween parade on Oct. 19 (rain date the following Sunday), Porchfest on Oct. 4 and volunteer opportunities for local events.
