Red Bank council approves consent agenda, advances Count Basie bleacher project

The Borough of Red Bank council unanimously approved its consent agenda at the regular meeting, adopting resolutions 25-198 through 25-205. The roll call recorded affirmative votes from Member Bonitakis, Council member Facy Blackwood, Council member Forest, Council member Jano, Deputy Mayor Chugiano and Mayor William Portman.

Mayor William Portman noted one item on the consent agenda, resolution 25-199, will be transmitted to the State of New Jersey to advance the Count Basie Bleacher Replacement Project. “We’ll be getting a resolution to the State of New Jersey so we can move forward with the Count Basie Bleacher Replacement Project,” Portman said, indicating the project will proceed through state review steps.

The council took the consent vote as a block after asking whether any member wished to highlight specific items. No member requested separate consideration. The clerk called the roll and each listed member voted yes; no no-votes or abstentions were recorded in the transcript.
