The commission approved on-street parking requested by a developer to support new construction near Dewey Avenue and 10th Street.
Caleb Morgan of Johnson and Associates told the commission the project will add laybys on the east side of Dewey Avenue and a short set of spaces on the north side of 10th Street; staff said the total increase is 21 spaces and that accessible-parking ratios remain within local requirements. Commissioner Littlefield moved for approval; Commissioner Hail seconded. The motion passed with five in favor.
Staff noted the applicant is not requesting controls for regulating use of the proposed new spaces; implementation will proceed through standard permitting and marking procedures.
